HOW I WAS BULLIED AND REJECTED AS A CHILD -BEVERLY NAYA

I've come a long way from the little girl who was bullied for having really bad eczema, crooked teeth, a 'lightbulb head' and 'football legs'.

I never thought i was beautiful as a child and once i hit my early teens, i found myself overcompensating for my lack of self esteem.

KNOW EXACTLY WHAT WORKS FOR YOU AS A WOMAN - DEKA (DIARYOFANABUJAMOM)

Deka Agorua Uhiara is one of the most passionate lifestyle blogger in the blogsphere. I haven't met her personally but her lifestyle blog will give you a clue to her warm personality.
I have no doubt that when i eventually meet her, i would love her more. I have been following her blog for a long time (before the change of name and eventual diversion to youtube lol). Without mincing words, she is one blogger i love.
NDD met up with her and  Her humility was displayed on the promptness she showed towards this interview. (please ma forgive me for putting this up late)
here is what the discussion was about. πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

Can we meet you?
Hi, my name is Njideka but I prefer to called Deka cause it sweeter to pronounce and it fits my personality... Lol. I'm a wife and mother to beautiful kids. I'm a Christian, an Abuja based lifestyle blogger here and youtuber @ deka's diary and a lover of beautiful things.

How did you venture into blogging and for how long have you been blogging?
I started blogging November 2014 but I'll say I started blogging seriously February, 2017 because I made a lot of mistakes and I have learned so much since then. A friend actually told me about blogging since I was a stay at home mom and since then I have moved to YouTube and I think I'll focus more on it.

How have you been able to combine being a mother, wife and a career woman?
It's just planning and having help. We all need help either from family or friends. And having people that support your dreams around you makes it easier too.

What do you think is a major challenge women face in the society?
Sexism, there is a lot of you can't do that because you are a woman or you can't achieve that or just minimize your dreams or don't even go for that so you won't scare your man. It's really annoying but we see it everywhere and even go through it even from our fellow women

Aside blogging what other business do you own?
I do online blogging classes. I sell pure unrefined Shea butter and I'm also a social media manager.

Whats your philosophy in life?
Actually my dad put this philosophy in my head but it has really helped me a lot. "If you do good, you do for yourself. If you do bad, you do for your yourself and As you lay your bed so you'll lie on it".

What is your advice to women who wants to tow your path?
Know exactly what works for you like what you love. Don't do what you think works for you because others are doing it. Have a learning phase, research. If you have to spend money. Spend cause at the end you will reap every good thing you have sowed and most of all be patient.

Do you have a mentor?
No I don't have but I have people that inspire me like sisyemmie.com, jenny Chisom, omabelle and Nikkie tutorials

Do you have any regrets in life?
Yes but the good thing is that I have learned from it so instead of dwelling in it, it has made me a better person, a better wife and a better mother.

NDD is young blog what advice do you have for us?
Persistence and patience is all you need.
